In the event that Atlantic County needs to evacuate it’s residents or visitors due to a severe Northeast Storm, flooding event or Hurricane, the Atlantic County Office of Emergency Management, working with your local Offices of Emergency Managements, has developed an evacuation zone system.  Using this system in the event of an evacuation, you will be asked to evacuate the county by zone.  Please head the warnings and leave when your zone is directed to leave.  This will hopefully minimize traffic congestion and get the public out of potential harms way in an efficient and organized manner.

Remember- PREPAREDNESS BEGINS WITH YOU.  The key to a successful evacuation is your ability to move yourself and your family rapidly when the time comes.
